Yikes! I have been having off-and-on problems with congestion and ear pain, and my GP just found fluid behind one of my ear drums again (the one where I have been having the tinnitus).

This morning, I blew my nose, and now the other ear is making noise (I have only had tinnitus localized to one ear previously).

I think I'm going to have to meet with another ENT (didn't get much from the first one I consulted).

Thanks for letting me vent. Feeling worried.

My T had also spread to my healthy ear that I know for a fact hasn't been exposed to an acoustic trauma...

Is it the same tone? I developed a different tone in my "good" ear.

The pitch and the volume are different in the two ears. Sometimes the sound in one ear dominates, at other times the sound in the other one dominates.

This happened to me as well. Seems to be a trend. It is quite strange. Would love to see if there is a reason behind it.

I remember how in the early days after the onset of my T in one ear, the silence in my good ear would always be letting me know and experience what I had lost. It was very depressing. I don't have this problem any more... ;)

My left side is loud & high pitched while my right side is soft & low pitched. I've always wondered how that can be since it's basically a brain function.
