well depends on how you see it...if you don't keep your memories i think reincarnation is sht because you are essentially someone else...

read the Tibetan book of the the dead( or is it the book of death and dying), to the Tibetans Lucid dreaming( or a specific form of same) is reputed to be a rehearsal for death itself
