It's at times like these I'm glad I don't live in the US where guns are so readily available.

 

When you wake up is it louder?

I sometimes get my Tinnitus so loud when I am sleeping, I can hear it when I am dreaming

 

Yes, it wakes me if my masking device falls out. T always has been louder upon waking, it is a very rare day indeed if it lowers to a tolerable pitch.

Can anybody tell me why tinnitus is loud when you awake. If anything it should be low because you are coming from a relaxed state of mind.l mentioned this to my doctor and he could not explain why.

 

I wonder if its due to brain activity like a busy dream or relaxed state....lots of love glynis

 

I just wrote another post about this today " Entire head buzzing". Static Tv is exactly what mine is like. Electricfied. I don't think the T is actually louder. I think we perceive it louder because we are in such a relaxed quiet state that it seems louder.

Mine has been waking me every night after 2 hours of sleep. Terrible.
