The Habituation Process

It is not hearing aids that you need to treat tinnitus and hyperacusis unless you have hearing loss. All that is required is white noise generators. There are two types: Analogue and Digital. It is only the digital WNGs that need to be set up by an Audiologist on a computer. Analogue type do not.

This is exactly what I mean. The clinics want to sell me high end hearing aids. The ones I tried was Widex. They actually turned the hearing aid portion off. Can you point to some analogue affordable option online for Canada. OR brands. That's a great tip!

 

I live in the UK. You could try the website that I referred to you earlier. They ship white noise generators abroad 1 to 3 weeks delivery and cheaper than what you have previously quoted. They sell a variety of WNGs at the moment I only see the MM10 which I have. The website link I'm going to paste is for International buyers. Yes I have been for 5 weeks already, unfortunately with little to no effect. Well, but I deal with my tinnitus much better recently.

 

That is great! I'm always for someone getting past this garbage condition! Perhaps the Lenire is having a more subtle effect? To me it's looking like all the options out there. Another coping tool.

Mine are very similar to these. The ones you have quoted on ebay I see they are used. I should point out to you that WNG can be very delicate and can easily malfunction. If I were you I'd buy brand new model not used.

 

Ok. At least I have an idea now thanks. I may look into my local hearing clinics. In the past they had nothing under $3,000 plus. Perhaps for just WNG's..

 

Look tinnitus still annoys me daily, it's just that I don't let it destroy my career or family. Lenire seems to help in it. Anxious or not I move on, work, home, growing a child.
