Yeap, that's how it is, in a nutshell. On point.

Mine often sounds like that, a raspy high-pitched tea kettle whistle. Thankfully, it isn't nonstop. It does make me want to chew through a 2-by-4 when it gets bad.

Does he mention whether it's in his ears or in his head, or both?

It must be hard for someone who doesn't have tinnitus to understand what the noise is like because they here an external sound on the video. Where as we hear it in our head which is a a lot worse.

All of us, without realizing, probably meet dozens of tinnitus sufferers every day. Ironically we suffer in silence and keep it to ourselves. Great video

      I am Cristian. :)
I shared my clip trough my facebook page. Some friends of mine didn't know I have this, also they didn't know about Tinnitus, about what exactly it is in my head.
I received compassion thoughts, I told them I am not handicapped. Also I told them to understand now why I ask them to speak louder. :)
I also discovered that a friend of mine have the same problem.

My suggestion to you guys, is to find a noise who describe what you hear and to make a clip like mine.
Maybe we can edit some kind a "commercial" from all over the world. It will be a great project with a common line: "I hear it too", or something like that. :)

Take care, you are not alone.

P.S.: I discovered this forum when I was thinking to commit suicide. I had a spike (first in my life) which lasted for two-three weeks. Or maybe more. The sound was exactly like the one in the clip, that loud. There were nights I couldn't sleep, a train station was in my head.
Five months have passed since my first contact with you, I am better now.
