      Hello

I am a 60 year old woman and have been suffering with this for 2 weeks now. Nothing occurred that would have triggered it.

I also have pressure (not pain) at the sides of my temples. I have seen an ENT and had an unremarkable hearing test. The sound and volume can change throughout the day and I even have hours where it is entirely gone.

At first I really got scared but have settled down a little bit and just keep up a mantra of ‘it’s only sounds and not harmful.’

I am looking for moral support and to be helpful to others if I may. I appreciate that this forum is here.

@myrottndog Hello and welcome: Sinus and temporal arteritis is very common for someone that is older, although consider a GP physical exam and blood work. Your ENT most likely excluded a sinus problem. An article on temporal artertiis and a noted mention is made to older females. It's treatable.
