Hello All,
I have had a general high pitched tinnitus for many years. It is sort of spread, not local to one ear. Then last September I had a hissing in my right ear. The doctor diagnosed an infection and prescribed a spray for it. After a week the hissing stopped. Then two weeks later the hissing returned and I noticed a reduced hearing in my right ear. I went back to the doc who said no visible infection and I was referred to an ear clinic. I had a CT scan which didn't find anything and I had a hearing test which showed a hearing loss in my right ear. The ear specialist said, as no physical cause was found, nothing can be done.
I feel that something must have happened to my ear but I don't know how to find if it is anything that can be fixed. Can anyone help?
Steve
