      Hello,

I attended a fashion show early September. There was a lady on the microphone that was extremely loud and the music was pretty loud too.

It’s been 3 months and it is still there in my right ear.

At first it sounded like a loud whistle and then turned into wind chimes.

By month 2 it improved to the point where I couldn’t hear it most days. The wind chimes stopped.

Now I have a high pitch tone that sounds broken, almost going from high to low all day long. Sometimes it’s loud and sometimes I only hear it if I’m in a really quiet room.

I am afraid I will be stuck with this forever. I’ve seen 2 ENTs and an audiologist. I have no hearing loss.

It sounds quite mild so has a fair-to-good chance of resolving IF you avoid loud noises.

Buy earplugs, earmuffs and noise reducing earplugs.

If in doubt, plug up. Be safe, be careful.

Plenty of good advice on this site for protecting your ears.

      Good luck!

Give it time and protect your ears for the coming months. Yours can definitely resolve or at least get to the point where it's not very bothersome.

Keep in mind that if you recover, that you can always get it again, so avoid super loud places and keep hearing protection on hand.
