Tinnitus More Than Once

      Cause of Tinnitus:
      Acoustic trauma
      Has anyone had tinnitus twice or more, and had it go away? Or do you know someone who has? Please tell me then!

      First time: Noise 2nd Time: Ototoxic drug
      Hi, Cassandra,

      Mine didn't go away, but I was habituated to my tinnitus. Then, four years ago, it got worse after I took a blood pressure drug. I'm again working on habituation, and things have definitely improved.

      We have a lot of success stories here on our Positivity Thread, and under "Success Stories". Don't give up; there is always hope! And there are some drugs in clinical trials right now that may be available in the near future. One of these days, there will be a breakthrough!

      I used to have "disco tinnitus" all the time when I was younger, only to find it gone the next day. After a van Halen concert in 1993 I had it for two days.

      Nej, inte längre än så. Jag tror tyvärr att det är så att om det inte gått över efter en månad eller två så är det nog permanent.

      (Och jag tror att du bör skriva på engelska för alla andras skull. :) )
