Tinnitus Spike After Prednisone and Betamethasone Ear Drops

Hello, I'm new to the group. Has anyone experienced a tinnitus spike after taking oral Prednisone and Betamethasone ear drops?

I'm currently in the middle of one that has lasted for the past four days, and it's unbearable. The tinnitus is so loud that I can hardly hear conversations.

I've completely tapered off the Prednisone now, but I was told to continue using the ear drops until my next ENT appointment. I've noticed that the drops seem to make the spike worse.

Can these medications cause spikes? And is it likely to calm down once I stop using them entirely?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I'm new too. Did you find out? Did you find the cause of your tinnitus?

I'm considering a steroid injection for tinnitus. I'm also re-tapering Lexapro after stopping Klonopin and Paxil CR cold turkey, then taking Lexapro and Abilify, and coming off them too quickly. See Dr. Josef on YouTube.
