      Hi Everyone,

      I have another hurdle I need help overcoming. I recently found out I have H. pylori bacteria, and the gastrologist needs to treat it. He originally gave me a combination of Amoxicillin and Clarithromycin. I used them for 10 days, and I realized my tinnitus spiked dramatically, so I stopped. The doctor gave me a LabCorp prescription to re-test me, and this morning, the result came into my patient portal saying H. pylori is still there.

      Are there any other tinnitus friendly medications I could ask from my doctor? Any natural medicine I could try?

      I have an appointment next week to review the result I got this morning.

      From being on Tinnitus Talk, I have read that Amoxicillin and Clarithromycin are ototoxic and can cause further damage to the inner ear. My tinnitus is already a 7-8 volume-wise, and I can't afford it to be any louder.

      What issues does H. Pylori cause you? The worst antibiotics for tinnitus are those ending in -mycin, so you'd better check with your doc what other treatments are available.

      Amoxicillin is pretty safe...?

      How about Amoxicillin + Metronidazole?

      Bad acid reflux, if left untreated, can lead to an ulcer or stomach cancer.

      Hi everyone,

      The doctor gave me an option of;

      Levofloxacin or Tetracycline

      Can anyone elaborate which one is tinnitus friendly?
