      Cause of Tinnitus:
      syringing, headphones
      Dear Dr Nagler,

      Can TRT therapy with sound generators help even when the hair cells are damaged?
      I eventually want to do TRT for my Hyperacusis problems.

      Excellent question.

      The effectiveness of TRT is not related to the cause of the tinnitus - damaged hair cells or otherwise.
