@ZFire my palinacousi is very inconsistent, lately I've been taking music home but it's definitely deminished and less intrusive, but still noticeable, since they play Basy loud music at work for 8 hours my ears I guess have a timer of how much they can take before the music is triggered.

The worst thing you can do to your ear, impulse noise from a firecracker about a meter in front of me. Damaged my left ear but my right remained the same for some God forsaken reason. I got 32db rated ear foam plugs, but I'm not sure how effective they are since I keep forgetting the scale is logarithmic. Will use my trusty ear muffs too

@ZFire sorry for the late reply, my palinacousis usually lasts about 3 hours at its loudest, after that, it'll get fainter but still annoying. Though I haven't had seriously loud ones In 2 weeks which is nice, still I hate vents and fans when I get even minor ones cause they produce music or chatter.

Hey @in_LA, I don't have palinacousis myself, just somatic T and reactive T. Zoloft is the SSRI, and nowadays I take Gabapentin, which is meant to be more fast-acting. These were both to address my anxiety/depression and have worked in that regard. The docs didn't address my T specifically but said Gabapentin is used to treat pain due to nerve damage.

I don't necessarily have nerve damage. I was prescribed Gabapentin primarily for anxiety. They just mentioned it's a drug for people with nerve damage. Zoloft affects male libido a lot. My doc suggested Cymbalta for anti-anxiety/depression if libido is an issue.
