I’ve noticed that since I acquired my tinnitus a couple of months ago, I have been able to unintentionally cause my eardrum to ring / vibrate.

For example, I was eating some soft food the other day (or so I thought), when I came across something very gritty in it and suddenly I bit down very hard (without meaning to) and my eardrum rang as if you had hit it with a drumstick (and it rang for a few minutes after that).

Is this something to be concerned about or am I getting overly paranoid / sensitive?
