Weird "Dream Induced" Tinnitus

I've had continuous tinnitus for about 20 years. High-pitched continual 'cricket' sound. BUT - when I wake shortly after a vivid dream, I have "squirt tinnitus." It sounds like a short shot of compressed air and it occurs every 5-10 seconds for perhaps two or three minutes. Ever heard of such a thing?

No, I have not heard of that particular phenomena. Does the "squirt" revert back to the "cricket" or does it occur in conjunction with the "cricket"? (the details may help others with similar phenomena realize that what you are experiencing and what they are experiencing as similar).

Hi, Kolisar, and thanks for asking. The high-pitched, continual 'cricket' is 24/7. I'd say the 'squirt' sound is on top of the normal T. It never occurs when awake; only after waking from a vivid dream.
