When you've had several days in a row of severe tinnitus and no matter how hard you try to be brave, it starts to pull you down, what do you do?

I get busy right away , I have learned to try and spare myself the anguish , its an ebb and flow thing , might as well just accept that and minimize the suffering.

I tell myself that it is too early to suspect that the spike is permanent. Temporary spikes can last months, so logically it makes sense to worry after at least a month or two of no improvement...

Things still haven't improved for me Bill. In fact my noise has changed if anything.

These spikes can be so discouraging. I remind myself that many of them are temporary, and set an achievable goal, like trying to have no additional loud noise exposure for the morning, or doing some exercise to take my mind off of T. Also, my mother always says to not live life in the rearview mirror, and take each new day as a fresh start.
