Like the hum of insects at night... I went to a wedding last night and the music was so loud I was like stumbling in my heels. By the end of the night I was hanging out on the balcony as far away from the music as possible. The bride didn't know I had T and was asking me why I wasn't there for her dance. I was like, your wedding is not worth my T spiking mmkay?

I should mention that my tinnitus started in my right ear but then after a few days spread to both my ears and stayed that way until now.

low hum,White noise, violet noise, birds chirping, cicadas,6000 hz tone, loading hard drive sound. All of these can be heard but luckily these are rarely all at once.
On my good days it's just a straight tone- lovely :D

No, I was just more annoyed at how loud it was. It was a wedding though so I don't know why I didn't think there would be a ridiculous amount of music

That’s just awful. Lol no reason to be deafening. I prefer to socialize at weddings anyways.

Mine's an 8.2kHz almost sine wave tone in my left ear that varies in intensity lately and fluctuates in a flickering kind of way. Today it's softer and quieter, easier to mask and distract myself. Sometimes it gets louder and more piercing, a more pure tone if you will. Every now and then I get a low bassy tone come in but I can't discern if it's from one ear or both.

I have a ton of tones, but they most are intermittent, though I almost always hear at least 1.

      Normal tones:
      Electrical noise, like pulsating wires
      Head Noise
      Muffled ring
      Soft pure tone

      Tones when stressed:
High pitched screech, can be extremely high pitched. (up to 15000-16000 hz), most intrusive can sometimes hear in school.
      High pitched dentist drill (rare)
Any of the above tones, but louder.

Wery high pitched constant metallic sound. Sometimes like metal spoon ratchet. Both ears, right worse. It covers any other noises.

That has to be awful. That would be considered as severe tinnitus.

Why can't my T just be random sentences or historical facts. I would much prefer that. I wouldn't mind if my T was just reading books to me or having a conversation with me. Much better than a random noise

Oh my tinnitus has so many different forms of tones and sounds
Sizzling sound which is perceived to come from the top of my both ears and my head
Then both ears have the random very high pitch screech
I can’t say it’s so loud but I can hear it above everything
Then my left ear has a hissing sound that comes and goes through out the day
Almost feels like my ears are vibrating
Then I have a another sound I developed last year in my head that sounds super rythmatic
That recent sound doesn’t bother me anymore

If you're sitting in a parked car and you turn the heat on high, that's what mine sounds like. Other times it sounds like a hair dryer on low... Right now it sounds like a soft wind. I never know what the day will bring

A constant loud head tone, can be masked by AC, then comes the very loud hissing that can’t be masked which is the worst for me, I also have hyperacusis which gives me ear pain.

I should mention that my tinnitus initially sounded like a 8000 to 9000 khz tone. That changed in early September when the tone changed to a 11000 khz tone and it stayed that way. No hyperacusis.

My tinnitus is definitely not caused by middle ear damage but rather mild hair cell damage in my inner ear.

My baseline sounds like someone constantly pouring sand on me. With spikes the sound gets much...busier.

It's very high-pitched (13 to 14kHz) and continuous sound. I like to picture as the sound of a powerful engine keeping me alive lol.

Mine sounds like a hiss... High pitched (difficult to describe!) I can hear it over anything, tv, in a bar etc) depending on what, for instance driving it's easier to ignore. If i'm watching a film I forget I have it, till my brain automatically reminds the bugger is still here, haunting me. Some days it's louder than others. I'd say it's between 4-6. If I get distracted I can ignore it easily. Can hear everything, no problem just with the hiss sound right next to me... Just had it for 42 days now and as you can imagine it's driving me crazy. Got it suddenly in the middle of having a stressing period but, I'm not really sure it's stress related. It's lasting too long and constant.
