Hello,

My name is Peet.

I've been having tinnitus since 2016 and somehow have been able to cope with it.Some days are better, some are worse.

A week ago something changed.

I started feeling a kind of fullness in the ears.Kind you feel when going into the mountains. But swallowing doesn't help.Feels like pressure.

Also my hyperacusis has gotten worse. My own voice sounds hard and I feel like I'm going deaf.
Driving me crazy.

Anyone had this happen ?

Welcome to the forum. You may have fluid build up or infection in inner years. You should see an ENT asap to check it out first. I have had hyperacusis and ultra high pitch tinnitus. These symptoms are quite common especially H following a new T or new level of T. The fullness may suggest something that can be cured if it is infection related. So see an ENT first before you worry more about it. Take care. God bless.

Ear fullness is a sign that some damage was done to your ears. The good news is that after several weeks or months, it will most likely be gone.

Well you have asked buddy. I have had that for years the red herring is thinking its eustachion tube issues I say its part of hearing loss and T..I have hearing aids when I take them out the pressure starts up the sort that makes you think if I hold my nose and blow it will clear the tubes ,sadly its nothing to do with the tubes.Be prepared that it might allways be with you ,,,sorry

Bill I have bad allergies and my ears feel full almost daily, so I don't think damage was done to the ears. This could be a possibility but never 100% the case. Also, I do feel like I have a cold at times, but I don't always rush to ER either :)

Possibly going and seeing a DR might be helpful. Ear pressure and fullness can be a sign of water/fluid retention or an infection. Ear issues can take quite a while to build up and quite a while to heal as well.
