      Hello everyone,

I read that pain killers with Ibuprofen can increase tinnitus, is that right?

I only know medicine with Ibuprofen, can you advise me something safer?

Because I have these headaches (left side) that can be quite painful!

      Many thanks for your help!

      Christophe

Tylenol is supposed to be the safest of them. I have taken Ibuprofen in the past since tinnitus and haven’t had problems when taken in short time periods within the recommended dose.

@Christophe_85 i take ibuprofen for migraines and don’t get any long term increased volumes.

Sometimes a spike around the migraine, but this could be from th headache rather than the ibuprofen.

Not basing these comments on anything medical, only my own experience

I've used acetaminophen and ibuprofen in the past without issues. I don't personally worry about it unless I have to deal with heavy doses.

      Hello !

Thank you for your answer, actually what I have right now is Ibuprofen at 400mg, I don't know if this is a heavy dose...

Trying not to take it every time I have headache, but these days are difficult...

      Hey John !

Weed can help some people with Tinnitus and Hyperacusis !

But as Tinnitus is very personnal, the benefits of something helpful will not work on some other people... :(

400 mg is also what I take when I need it. More info (including dosage) here: https://www.drugs.com/ibuprofen.html

When I had a cyst my doctors had me take 800 mg for about a week. I didn't have T at the time, though.

Paracetamol is safe. It’s the only pain killer I’ll use though.

I have had no tinnitus issues or problems taking Ibuprofen at 400mg for headaches or other pain.

Hope you are feeling better @Christophe_85.
