Not so sure now. Her 4 month old little lungs can crank out 90db of sound. I knew she was very loud but didn't know she was that loud until we measured it. Perhaps, I have located the source of my T. I think I need to invest in some good hearing protection:)

Since the sound power is divided by 4 whenever the distance to your ears is doubled, it makes a big difference how far the source of the noise is relative to your ear. So your 4 month old can easily feel more powerful than a concert speaker if she gets close to your ears when she cries.
It's not just the raw power of the source - it's also the distance to your ears.

I was half kidding. She really is that loud but I didn't really think she had done any damage. She is right by my ear all the time crying. I got a new tone one night after she had been crying for a really long time. I joked that it was b/c of her crying. Maybe it was. Guess I'll have to get some good protection for my ears.
