I'm watching the Voice Kids UK and I've read that Will.i.am has tinnitus very badly from a loud music video he did. He doesn't even have ear plugs in. How is that even possible?

There's a wide range of earplugs to choose from. Some models, like transparent silicone earplugs are very hard to notice if there's no close image of the ear.
I guess it can in some people but think of all the musicians / people that still attend concerts with noise induced tinnitus (I know a few). Everyone's tinnitus is different, some have it worse unfortunately.

That is true, I keep pausing the tv to see if he has any in, I can't see any. It just seems like he has a pair of ear buds or headphone hanging from his neck.

Saying that I have a friend that has noise induced and still goes clubbing ect.
Man, what I would do to be able to go to listen to live music with ear plugs!
