will.i.am Suffers from Tinnitus? How Can He Be in Loud Environments?

Looks like he found a way to cope.
The problem is that it is possible that his T might begin getting louder as a result of his way of coping. Should that happen, eventually he will stop the insanity and do the sensible thing.

Of course celebrities get attention and normies don't, but for every Will.I.Am it seems like a sure bet that there's 100 people with intrusive tinnitus working in extremely loud and dangerous factories in third world countries, probably mostly without earplugs or any recourse.

The simple question of "should I continue in my loud career with tinnitus" implies a ton of privilege. Note that suicide rates in third world countries are, as a general rule and with a few exceptions, lower than in more affluent places. Thank you for saying this.

Taking medical leave due to tinnitus is not a measure of T severity, but more a measure of privilege. Not everyone is in a financial or occupational position that enables them to temporarily walk away from their job and financial responsibilities.

I saw him yesterday dancing and singing in an extremely loud concert for the final game champion! Shouldn't we avoid loud environment?

He said by himself that he is a tinnitus sufferer.

Tinnitus comes in many forms and intensities and no two people experience it the same. I assure you, if tinnitus is severe and debilitating enough, it can prevent a person from working and it can also make one want to bring about their own demise.
I was retired from my job on medical grounds due to tinnitus.

Wow, I did not realize it was offensive to point out that not everyone is in the same situation. I myself recognize that my ability to step away from my routine was due to my own personal privileges. I had family to emotionally support me, daily responsibilities that I could step away from without fear of long term career detriment, and finances that enabled me to seek excellent medical care.

Not everyone has those advantages. Having those advantages does not mean my T is more severe than the single parent struggling to care for children without help. It doesn't mean my T is worse than the person whose healthcare doesn't enable them to pursue multiple specialists. And it doesn't mean my T is worse than the many individuals on TT who continue working every day while dealing with loud tinnitus.

Look, I'm glad I had those advantages. It's how I coped. I wish everyone could do exactly what they needed to do to cope, but sadly I realize that isn't always possible.

I have tinnitus at a level you can't block out. It's a loud screech like a train screeching to a stop. It can't be masked by anything. Music, drills and traffic don't touch it. And I've habituated. Not showing off, but just want people to realize it can be done even when very loud.
You are uplifting! Glad for you!

Thank you. I'm glad you took it in the way it was intended. I think the vast majority of people can habituated to loud tinnitus. But mine is consistent. Which I think I'd prefer to erratic. It changes in volume to a degree but its pretty much the same all the time.
