Hello all, Will be visiting some wineries soon and have not had a drop of alcohol since having a bad experience with a spike in Cozumel from drinking beer... Anyone have their opinions on tinnitus spiking with wine? Would love to hear some feedback.
Hey Joy, For alot of people wine makes their T. quieter, but for me it makes it spike. I think you have to try it out for yourself and see if your one of the lucky ones. Have fun!
Wine helps me to relax and makes my tinnitus quieter. I sometimes have a glass of wine or brandy during the evening for medicinal purposes, if my tinnitus is intrusive. Go out have a nice time and drink in moderation and forget about tinnitus. @Carlyi does have a point though. Hope things go well for you. All the best Michael
ive drank white wine many times since onset with no negative consequences except a hangover what i would say though is as alcohol can cause you to lose your inhibition, you may be less mindful of ear protection if at a noisy venue.
Drinking wine tonight carnt make my spike louder than what it is.... I may be tired in the morning as my meds are strong and shouldn't really drink but after a tearful morning a little glass can just be nice... Love glynis
I enjoy drinking white wine from time to time, it doesn't make the tinnitus spike and it mellows me out.
It only gives me spike next day for 10-12 hours . I still drink since it's only temporary spike next day . Drinking really relaxes me and i dont Think it gives permanent spike to any one .go for it .
