Hi, I'm just introducing myself. I am Dave. I first noticed my tinnitus about six months ago. I work in the music industry, and over twenty years of doing this, combined with playing in loud bands, have finally brought me here.

Looking forward to learning everything I can.

I've seen a lot of posts from people attending concerts; it's true; so many times, the concerts are way too loud. I always have earplugs with me, but sometimes I think even that is not enough.

      Nice to meet everyone!

I used to be a band photographer, so I was exposed to a lot of sound; I always felt like those super small venues that were totally enclosed were by far the worst soundwise.

Have you got strong custom moulded earplugs?

      Thank you.

Mostly my problems are from building loud guitar amplifiers.

I hear what you're saying about smaller venues. In the 90s, we opened up for some used-to-be-huge bands in our local club in our small town. They would haul in these huge PA systems and distort everybody's eardrums to the point where it just didn't sound good.

But I've been to huge concerts as well. One guy I've worked for quite a bit over the last ten years, his sound guy, is hit or miss; it's downright torture. I'll have to look into having custom-molded plugs. I always bring the foam ones with me; I've done that for years.
