Friends, have any of you guys experienced a sudden feeling of increased ear pressure and very reduced hearing? As if your ear drums are being sucked in ? Did the reduced hearing improve?
I have had this before but only for minutes at a time . Today it is far worse in both pressure and the reduced hearing.I am very afraid. It seems to get worse when I go outdoors.

Talk to your doctor as soon as possible and ask for a referral to an ENT ( Ear Nose Throat Specialist ). Hard to say what is causing this with you. Hopefully someone else here with the same issues will respond with some better answers. Good luck my friend!

Hi Mike, been there ,done that. The ENT was not very helpful at all .He offered no insight as to what is causing the T Or constant infections.I did have an MRI which showed no structural problems in my ears and nothing nasty was in there .Had a brain scan .That was clear too. So they to,d me what it isn' t but not what it IS as such or what is causing it.
The best my GP can do is that he thinks barometric pressure may be affecting my ear drums.Beats me.Each episode is getting worse in that my hearing gets more dull each episode.Very worried indeed.

@fedup if your eardrum is really getting sucked in, that it must have something to do with the pressure in your ear. Might be an issue with your Eustachian Tube.

ok , I had an ear swab done in my better ear because it has been hurting , feels full and is buzzing loudly now. I just woke up with it one day .The test is negative for fungus etc and the Dr says there is no infection . There was slight inflamation but that has gone but the problems have increased. GP has no idea what is causing this new problem and says see ENT next week . I have no faith in ENT I have seen them before and they do not know what to do either.
My life was miserable enough with T in the left ear. I just got used to that and now it is in my right ear ! This is beyond cruel!
It is such a wicked tone this new one and the pain !...
I just live in fear of this new tone which infind unbearable .Also the loss of hearing along with it.
I find it so incredibly frustrating that the Drs just do not know what to do ! I want to SCREAMMMM !!!
