Hi, I am curious about your tinnitus sound. I hear sth like a cricket (pitch 8 kHz, 35 dB). Would you describe you tinnitus sound?

my right ear (without tinnitus) 10kHz, I can hear this sound from 10 dB.
left ear (with tinnitus) 8 kHz from 35 dB
I think there are many online tone hearing tests. Take your headphones and test your hearing. Usually the highest tone used in tests is 8 kHz. It sounds like the sound of cicadas/crickets

I see it now. The first one 8khz is about what I hear but with pulsing. thanks

ok. if your tinnitus is at 8kHz, go to some online tone hearing test, relax a bit and listen to 4kHz sound for a while. on the grounds of physics it makes sense. do you feel relief?

We have in poland website where you can test your hearing and tinnitus and if necessary generate some tinnitus masker. it is www.e-audiologia.pl Everything is in polish Have you got sth similar in English?

I have an assortment of sounds in my head, from the very common cricket to ringing, swishing, tapping, wind and pulsatile. Cricket recordings suit me best for mitigation.

I have several noises going on,but the worst is the coffee pot percolator (sp) sound,it drives me crazy!

Just Google "Cicada Sounds" or "Cricket Sounds" for representative audio tracks. Found a few pretty close to mine, depending on the day, stress level, sleep, and diet influences. Played such sounds to my wife a few years ago..."Oh my gosh, Honey, That's what you hear!?"

Mine is a high pearcing hiss in both ears....lots of love glynis

On good days I have the hissing perception (middle of the head) which is ultimately each ear ringing out of phase from each other.
On bad days it sounds like audible dog whistles being blasted into each ear.
It's like they asked "What sound don't you want to hear 24/7? Ok use that one!"
