My boring sleeping saga: today I slept 5,5 hours, without meds, only waking up once. Doesn't expect to last, but I feel a tiny bit better. Feb 9, 2020

Your sleep should improve. Try to maintain good sleep hygiene doing this period.

Another sleepless night. When does it get better?

I'm sorry, Bill, I didn't notice your comment.
My T still fluctuates a lot. So one day it's a bit better, then it's worse. All in all, I'm glad that I have better days. And last week I had days when it felt like the sound softened a bit. Not yet in the hiss phase though. In the meantime, I developed a "water-rumbling-in-the-radiator" kind of sound too, but it's much less annoying than my main, screaching sound.

I did an audiogram on Tuesday, which showed a quite big ABG, so that made my anxiety go through the roof, so T is worse again...

It's good that it isn't relentlessly at the same level. What matters is the monthly trend and the global lows. So any time it is softer than it has ever been is cause to be more optimistic.

@jimH Can I ask you which AD you took? Still having very, very poor sleep. Very sparingly I take 0,25-0,5 Frontin (Xanax), but it does nothing. OK, quitens down my T for a couple of hours, but doesn't help with sleeping.

I used Effexor. I later found out that some members had very bad experiences with it. Just use the forum "search" and read some of the posts.
Therefore, I would suggest that you DO NOT take it. I was lucky being that it did not affect my T.

Thank you. It seems that for every good experience with anything there are tons of bad ones.

Definitely jinxed it. Shrillness and pitch is awful again. So very hard to coexist with the noise. No sleep again.

That's basically what I cannot deal with. It's awful now and it's moderate at max, fluctuating between mild and moderate. But if it gets louder...

I would say mine is moderate at best but probably it's severe. But I'm sure it can get worse.

After accidentally cracking my neck yesterday evening, I had total silence. It's back, but quieter. May be bc of the Xanax I took to sleep.

Still not sleeping. I just want to sleep without waking up in every freaking half hour. Don't know how to survive on 3 hours of sleep.

Made my sister listen to the frequency I hear. She lasted 10 seconds.
