        Just go out and do it. The noise in the stores can help mask your T. Don't deny your family Christmas, even though you suffer. You owe it to your kiddies, who have been awaiting, this time of the year.

      Hang in there. It is rough now but will get better, it just takes some time time. I know it is tough. You have to dig deep and think about your kids. A few months from now you will look back and be proud of yourself that you got to where you will be. We all share in your struggles and triumphs!

      It'll get easier. I got T 2.5 months ago and i was in hell. Right now, even though i can hear my T pretty much everytime/everywhere as it's very high freq. and cannot be masked, i'm back to life. Not depressed and in anxiety anymore. It's only 2 weeks for you, it's perfectly normal to feel like this. Try to sleep at nights and hang on. You'll be better.

      I have had T since thanksgiving ..Your posts make me sad.....My brain has been consumed by this....You have to be strong for your kids....I always stayed away from concerts and such for fear of this issue ....now I have it from something out of my control. I sit here and wonder how I will deal with this and father my 8yo son...I'm here if you need to talk

        I am in Rhode Island too. Have you found a doctor here? I just moved here and don't know where to go. It seems like everyone offering any type of Tinnitus Treatment is in other parts of New England... I am desperate...

        I know how you feel, I struggle with suicidal thoughts everyday, I regret my life and would rather not continue. I wish I could experience being a husband and father, but this will never let me do that. Hold onto the love for your kids, dont let them go.

        I wont be able to, I was raised by a single parent as an only child, there has been too many mistakes in my family, and now im declining everyday with tinnitus. I've decided our family tree ends with me. Be open with your kids at times, give them a chance to support you.

        I discovered that 'world' while showering.. I had plugs in my ears & when the water hit the top of me head... I was there, in total silence, with the admission of the soft waters falling onto me from above.
        That's the closest I've come to it. Can't be shown but it can certainly be felt (:
