    I wish it could stay this way forever, for the rest of my life. The problems weren't as furious today as they are most of the time.

    My family never really accepted my condition either. And whenever I tried to explain it to them, it broke something inside me — that strong desire to be understood. No matter how hard I tried, they just couldn't grasp how much of a torture this can be unless they've experienced it themselves. They thought my mental health was deteriorating or that I was exaggerating things psychologically. And maybe, without realizing it, they were gaslighting me.

    My advice to you is this: when it comes to tinnitus, no matter who your family or friends are, anyone outside of "our group", the tinnitus community will probably react the same way. You might not like to hear this, but honestly, my advice is: don't bother telling anyone who hasn't lived with tinnitus. There's simply no benefit. Most people just won't understand. Even your closest friends might end up asking stupid questions. Trust me, I know this too well because I've been through it myself.

    It's getting louder (80-90 dB), there are more and more sounds, hearing loss, painful hypersensitivity, distortion, pressure on one side of the head, red ears. No one understands, everyone wants something from me and doesn't see the problem. Society doesn't realize how damaging ear damage can be to lives. Zero help! This has to change...

    I'm a novice when it comes to this type of work. I've always been a manual laborer. Do you think I have a chance?

    To be honest. In Poland It will be very difficult to get a job in IT without proper education or experience in IT. To my knowledge, now in 2025, in Poland, there are many people looking for a job in IT industry. The competition is high. But I dont want to discourage you. The easiest way, if you are starting without education/experience, is to look for a job as a manual tester.

    On youtube there is channel "bezrobotny". There are interviews with many people looking for a job, not only from IT industry. So maybe you can learn something from their experience.
    FYi, I watch yt with muted sound and I read captions(subtitles), this is the only way with my hyperacusis.

    I have star wars too and headache and pressure. Plus a high pitched eeeee (this one comes and goes but alien ones stay). I'm glad you had a good morning.

    headache, pressure in the head, pain in the ears without sound, pain on sounds and worsening noises, anxiety, depression. I've never been in such a mess as I have been since my ear problems.

    Mine does after 2 years according to my agent. It's a term policy I have had for many years. It's too bad some severe health conditions make us think of ending it all.
