Tinnitus Suppression with Electrical Stimulation at the Basal Contact of Cochlear Implant Electrodes: Significant Improvement in 8 of 10 Patients

@IYIiKe, I read this again, and I think it’s a well-thought-out point. Many new studies are using fMRI, EEG, and MEG to measure changes alongside treatments. This is something Tinnitus Quest has included in its outcome measures proposal. We did this based on what many patients here have said...

15 Months of Tinnitus with No Improvement, Except for Occasional Good Days in a Row

@Yu.3, your experience almost exactly matches mine. It started for me at the end of April 2024, so I’m also about 18 months into this. I have occasional “good days,” but they’re inevitably followed by bad ones. I still get ridiculously optimistic when I have a run of good days and fool myself...

Tinnitus Spike and Ear Symptoms After MRI with Contrast

Struggling with Tinnitus and Hyperacusis: Why Are Audiologists So Misinformed?

Shower, dishwasher, vacuum cleaner, and noisy restaurant environments are around 70 dB. In the UK, the officially accepted threshold for ear or hearing damage begins at 90 dB. If your ears are already damaged, I believe that sound levels below 90 dB can still cause further harm. Audiograms are...
