    Lyrica Withdrawal/Tinnitus Getting Worse!

I am tapering off Pregabalin and my tinnitus has definitely gotten worse. That's how I found this thread, by looking for information to see if withdrawal is the cause. I'm glad, because that means it will most likely get better when I'm through the withdrawal period.

    Suicidal

Yes @PeteJ, be careful with gabapentinoids. I'm stuck on pregabalin and can't get off it despite me suspecting it's contributing to my monster tinnitus. Even a very slow taper didn't work as I was hit by a host of horrid symptoms and tinnitus went off the charts. Dr Shulmanin NY has a protocol...

...and I ended up taking Phenibut to relax me once every few days. For years this was fine. But probably it was too much. All of that stuff ended up with me feeling really out of it in December, random paranoia and anxiety. But you know what? Pregabalin made the depersonalization WORSE ironically.

That's great because pre existing hearing loss is the major cause of tinnitus with any time taken and amount of Pregabalin. Drug probably caused neurotransmission to the sympathetic nervous system causing tinnitus. Taking mind off tinnitus and lowering stress should greatly improve tinnitus.
