A lurker here for a while. I signed up to add here. I'm fairly certain that this type of tinnitus comes from the neck. I've had it for a while and physio said I may have slow motion whiplash. Try getting some massage therapy for your neck or acupuncture. Perhaps also yoga might help?

I have eliminated caffeine and it has not reduced my PT. I am still undecided on diet and exercise but it has resulted in weight loss. Acupuncture is my new venture so I will have an update with results.

From my acupuncture experience(s), I would say that is too short. You may want to consider asking if you could go longer (w/o any extra charge).

I gave acupuncture a try myself, it's very relaxing and therapeutic but it did nothing for my tinnitus unfortunately. I hope you find relief though! You never know, what doesn't work for one person may work for another.

what sort of pain do you have? you have plenty of alternatives. tumeric. fish oil. glucosamine and chondroitin. mco. msm. cats claw. drink more fluids. heat and cold packs. acupuncture. massage. meditation. distraction. sleep/rest. hydrotherapy. dry needling. osteopathy.

Just wanted to give an update and say after the prescribed amount of sessions, T remains the exact same. Acupuncture may help for other ailments. It does help with anxiety and relaxation. But with tinnitus, for me... useless.

I have just begun acupuncture again -- this time for a back injury. At my next appointment, I will ask my acupuncturist about the possibility of treating my T and PT along with my other issues. Worth a try!!

Sorry to hear! Did you try corticotioid (predinisone)? Starting with 60 mg 1 week and then tapering with 10 mg?

Dear friends with hyperacusis, acupuncture significantly reduced this in one session for me, when my first ear event happened that resulted in my current tinnitus. Please try it. It made everything bearable again. My best to you.

...than western medicine is invalid? Chi/prana is real, and anyone that engages in manipulating it will quickly realize this is the case. Acupuncture is obviously useful for many ailments, otherwise it wouldn't be practiced. Will Chinese medicine help tinnitus? Probably not if it's noise induced.

It generally has not helped majority of the community. But if it’s helping you, stick with it!
