Poll: Can You Feel Your Tinnitus?

I bring this up every now and then, to see if there are others who suffer from tinnitus and can feel the buzzing. I can feel the buzzing in my left ear. It initially started out as a chirping sound, randomly. I have no idea what causes the timing and when it would chirp but I have counted...

    Chirping, Zapping Tinnitus

Since I developed tinnitus back in 2016 I noticed a chirping / zapping sound that I can actually feel. Like a small burst of energy going off in my inner ear. I think I know what's causing mine. I am slowly developing HFS (hemifacial spasms) the left side of my face is where my spasms occur and...

Any Truckers with Tinnitus Out There?

How many truckers (CDL) out there have tinnitus? I'm also curious if you wear hearing protection even though it's considered "against the law". I know some states allow you to wear 1 earplug in 1 ear. I have seen (very few) admit to wearing hearing protection (on other forums) the whole time...

Does anyone feel their tinnitus? I have two kinds that I feel a sensation with. 1: One of them is this zapping sound like something being electrically shocked and I feel this shock-wave for a fraction of a second when this happens. Not sure what causes it and it doesn't happen often. 2: The...

I Was Able to Lower My Tinnitus After Sleeping Using Melatonin and Meclizine (Over the Counter Drug)

For some reason I have experienced the same thing. I was taking melatonin and a certain piercing tone would disappear, in the morning sometimes for up to half a day if not all day.

Acoustic Trauma from Gunshot — Will My Tinnitus Stay Stable?

If you are shooting firearms you should consider doubling up on ear protection (plugs and muffs). I still shoot but I use silencers (I live in a state that lets me own silencers) and i stay away from high caliber ammunition. The damage we do to ours ears is accumulative and can worsen if you do...

    Worsened My Tinnitus

I stopped using headphones all together. The more I started thinking about it, I realized it's a very unnatural way for your ears to listen to sounds. Especially since many head phones on the market are noise canceling.

    Tinnitus and Where It Originates

I was reading around and found some other sites/forums and it seems to be the consensus that Tinnitus always originates from the brain. Has this been scientifically proven and does it have supporting evidence? If someone goes to a concert and ends up suffering from T for like, a month or 2 and...

    Bilateral Tinnitus May Be Hereditary

Head phones, rock concerts, guns are good ways to destroy both your ears. I have T in both ears and I don't feel as if it's in my head at all. My T is literally in my ears and sometimes I can feel/hear this short circut sound inside my left ear.

For those of us living in the USA here is the run down on obtaining a Lucky Laser. Lulu sent me an email describing the run down. DIY Low-Level Laser Therapy for Tinnitus on a Budget — LLLT Under 100,-

There have been several people with acoustic trauma that used lllt. Nick.J was one of them. It just depends how badly damaged your inner ear is. Some people have no idea where their T comes from and if it's purely Neurological, then lllt would most likely not help.

    MuteButton

I just do not see how anyone with acoustic trauma related T would benefit from this, if it requires that you wear a head-set. I wore a head set once watching a TV show on low and my T increased /changed tone. No way in hell would I consider any type of sound therapy if I have to wear headphones.

    Historical Sufferers of Tinnitus
