    GABA Supplements (Including Picamilon)

Tinnitus is supposed to be a side effect of Ibuprofen but only if you take loads of it. I think normal dosages are fine and you say you only took a few doses. I have taken minimum doses and and it didn't increase my t. This is my own personal experience though.

Notched Music Therapy (DIY, AudioNotch, etc.)

Hi Peter, I think the difficult part with this type of therapy is identifying the pitch as its subjective, even if the pitch is same tone. But for me the notching part seems easily enough done with a notch filter or parametric eq applied in sound editing software. The plugins are free and...

    Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Just to let you all know, I ended up doing ten HBO treatments. Before the HBO it was mostly my left ear but also sometimes my right ear that bothered me. Not sure if the HBO did much or anything really. My right ear does not really bother me any more although it's still there but definitely not...

Tinnitus, Ears and Swimming, Water etc

Hi, Ok this might be a bit of a stupid question! But it it wise to do water sports in early stages where water can get in your ears. Things like swimming or surfing in the sea not swimming pool etc. I'm thinking its fine unless someone tells me otherwise? Thanks

Are Earplugs Enough for Sports Events and Parties etc?

Hi, I have some football games to attend abroad in mid-june and they're already booked and paid for before tinnitus happened. I'm unsure whether my tinnitus is noise induced as it started day after banging my head and my hearing is above average after audiometry tests. But since I got it I have...

Steroids: Prednisone / Dexamethasone / Others (Oral and Intratympanic Injections)

I got this information in an email response to email I sent to a clinic in Freiberg, Germany ("ENTs use corticosteroid treatment disregarding the origin of hearing loss and/or tinnitus during the first three months. But I believe that the success rate decreases with the time."). This doctor...

Steroids: Prednisone / Dexamethasone / Others (Oral and Intratympanic Injections)

Hi all, Just wondering has anyone ever got this treatment or know anything about it? Apparently it has to be done in first 3 months to be effective. The ENT never mentioned anything about this as a treatment and I'm 6 weeks with tinnitus symptoms. Any info about this much appreciated. Thanks

    Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

That's a good reduction. Its expensive here, the treatment centre reckons ten sessions. How bad were you before treatment? Mine is usually fine at work etc, its just going to bed I have music on and then its usually worst in morning. Although woke up a few times recently and could not hear it in...

    Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

No more like back of my head near top, slightly right of centre. Strangely the tinnitus is predominantly left ear.

    Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Hi Joe, Thanks for replying. Just to clarify, I had no head injuries after the fall, I didn't suffer concussion or dizziness etc. The only thing I got was the tinnitus the next day so I would only be going for the hyberbaric treatment to treat this. My hearing is above average and the...

    Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Hi, I'm interested in this treatment and they have it in my country but it is expensive. I have tinnitus just over 5 weeks. I got it from a head injury even though my head injury did not seem bad at all. My hearing is fine after doing an audiometry so Im wondering is this treatment any good for...
