The head of the BBC and the British broadcaster's top news executive both resigned on Sunday, November 9, after criticism of the way the organization edited a speech by U.S. President Donald Trump on January 6, 2021. Their edited version made it appear that Trump encouraged the Capitol Hill riot on that day. The BBC is expected to apologize publicly on Monday, November 10.

There are several problems with capital punishment for convicted child sex offenders. In the majority of cases, over 90%, the perpetrators are family members or close friends of the victims' families, and many families would not be willing to turn in Uncle Joe for sex crimes against a child, due to the penalty. There is also the danger of child sex predators murdering their victims to prevent them from telling anyone and testifying in court against them, which could lead to a death sentence.

Trump, the arbiter of "fake news," has, it seems, fallen hard for some fake news. On Sunday, Trump posted an image claiming that Barack Obama had been collecting millions in taxpayer dollars from "royalties linked to Obamacare." Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency, the post further averred, had heroically intervened to halt the yearly payments of $2.5 million, which totaled to $40 million since 2010.

One problem: The source was, I kid you not, the "Dunning-Kruger Times." It advertises itself as a "Website For Gullible Dopes Who Believe Anything They Hear."
