      Hello everyone,
I have my high pitched tinnitus and it's getting louder, it's more annoying now and it start within this week. Aside from that I have an ear infection in my left side ear.

Is the ear infection cause by getting louder and more annoying?
Has anyone experienced something like this?

      Please need help.
      Thanks,
      Robert

@Robert an ear infection needs treating and when it has gone it can take a few weeks for tinnitus to settle down again.
Keep relaxing music on around you and try stay calm.
      Love glynis

@Robert18 oh yes I have experienced this many times over the years. Please be assured that this is temporary until your infection clears. I know it is hard the first few times with that higher pitched tone. You are going to be okay.

Why won't you see a GP or an ENT about this infection? This is serious. They might prescribe a more effective drug. You don't want to take any chances...

@Robert18 I don't have an answer for you but I do have experience with high pitched tinnitus. If you're looking to mask it in the meantime I found cricket sounds help. I've tried several but the one that works for me is called Summer Nights from Sound Oasis, the people who make the sound machines. My tinnitus is at the 6kHz range and the masking sound reaches about 5kHz. Close enough to help.

Good luck, hope you find relief soon.
