      Hello there,

After I had an orgasm I couldn't hear well, that lasted for about a minute, but I thought I was going deaf.

I think my hearing now is back to normal but very worried that this might be a sign that my hearing is being damaged.

I 've read before about some connection between orgasms and the cochlea,
so that's why I ask this question.

Does anybody know if that is normal?

I spent 8 years with my ex and she wanted sex about 4-5 times a day....lol

I might have lost some hearing because she was screaming......But other than that, i never heard of people losing their hearing after having great sex....

I thought the problem was supposed to be eyes, not ears (depending on how said orgasm was achieved, so they say). Seriously though, there could be a relationship here with blood pressure spiking.

It's like going to the gym or exercising, tinnitus tends to spike which I think is probably blood pressure related. I've never heard of anyone losing their hearing after sex though.

It's normal, it happens to many and you're not going deaf. Don't worry about it. Like @Ed209 said, it's probably blood pressure related.

Happens to me as well, it's normal, it's just because of the rapid change of blood pressure.

I have the exact same thing. I would say im probably more active than normal, i mean with the same partner but we have been doing it at least once a day for years now, and i always thought it was just a sensory malfunction in the brain due to the rush of endorphins, it always seems like my hearing doesnt come back so much as i start realizing i can hear again...but it doesnt feel like my tinnitis. For that there is no trigger or feeling, just total deafness and ringing, after sex its like only a few frequencies make it into my ears and they feel like cotton is packed all around them, try snapping your fingers while holding the other ear, you can still hear and it helps your brain unfunk.

It’s no surprise that Woods Allen loves sex.
      He says,

“I first fell in love at 13.
I was alone at the time.”
      ————————————]
      He also said,

“I have an intense desire to return to the womb,
      ....anybody’s....!”

      ————————————]

I fully expect to get my knuckles wrapped for veering off topic.
We have to lighten up sometimes guys.....x
