The tinnitus gets loud for maybe two days then reduces in noise then three or five days it gets very mild then it just goes quiet for a day or two then it will go feckin wild again. It has me unsettled. Help

My tinnitus is like this as well. I gather from anecdotes that this type of tinnitus is common.

From all i have read, everyone seems to have different means to T, but as Mark said, seems to be a common theme. I dont track mine anymore b/c i notice it more if i do. So, i cant say that mine follows a pattern necessarily, but im sure it does it for me as well. If it concerns you enough, take a log of anything you put in your body. See if there is any correlation. Any medication i take typically sends some type of temp spike from a hr to days. Chocolate also seems to hit for a hr or so. Anything spicy used to do it for the first cpl months i had it

Tinnitus comes in many forms and intensities and no two people experience it the same. Fluctuating tinnitus is quite common and there is no reason for it other than this is the way a person’s tinnitus is but this might not always the case.

My tinnitus ranges from complete silence, mild, moderate or severe. It no longer reaches extreme severe levels of a few years ago. Some people that have “noise induced tinnitus” and have habituated and use headphones (something I don’t recommend) or subject their auditory system to loud sounds. Going to concerts or clubbing.
There is nothing wrong with going out and having a good time, providing a person uses appropriate ear protection such as noise reducing earplugs. Even then one needs to be careful of loud sounds as this can cause the tinnitus to spike. If you notice your tinnitus fluctuating in intensity after using headphones or going to venues where loud music is played then I advise you to be careful.

If you are not using "sound enrichment" at night then I advise you to do so. Please click on the link below and read my articles: Tinnitus, A Personal View and Hyperacusis, As I See It.
Try to read them in full and not skim through them.

Almost silent to moderate on the highest level. Every time it's quiet I hope it's over.

I envy people who have "breaks" mine in constant, no increase but no decrease or not does it ever go silent...
