Hello Dr Nagler,

I am having some root planing to clean out some pockets in my gums.

The active ingredient my dentist will be using is Chlorexidine gel. As their is a good chance my gums will bleed and the substance could get into my blood stream is their anything (regarding ototoxicity) I need to concern myself with.

Chlorhexidine should not affect your tinnitus in any way.
