Yes, I don't want to talk too much about my experience so I don't bias anyone else's unless I am suddenly cured or I get through the full 3 months of sounds.

I don't have hyperacusis, but my tinnitus is somewhat reactive which has led me to shy away from some masking treatments. That being said, the sound doesn't bother me at all or make the tinnitus worse. Hope that helps.

      Hi,

Do you wear hearing aids? As long as you can hear the sounds in the introductory questionnaire, you can participate in the study. However, we are not sure of the effect they will have on your tinnitus - it may be lessened by the hearing loss.

      Hi,

There is no set amount of time that we would like you to listen to the sounds for, as we do not want this study to interfere with your normal activities. At the moment, volunteers have been listening to them from 30 minutes up to 2 hours a day. There is a form that we ask you to fill in telling us the amount of time you've been listening to the sounds for, and we will take this into account when analysing the outcomes.

      Hi,

We hope to build a tool similar to this website, so that the treatment is easy to use.
The sounds we are using are different as they are based on a different model. However, the idea behind our sound therapies is similar.

      Yes, I use hearing aids.

I tried to fill out the test form today but failed. My hearing profile is inadequate.

@Kate Yukhnovich, I have tried to log in and get the file but the claim ID and passcode do not work for me.

Has anyone else been able to log in and get the audio file?

I've been through the study and have had positive results. My tinnitus is still there but there are periods when I'm not hearing it. That didn't happen before.

It seems to have positive results for me as well but only for like 1-2 hours after listening to the therapeutic sounds. After that tinnitus elevates back to the old baseline.

Even though I finished my 6 week period for both placebo and therapy, I still use it almost everyday to manage the spikes or in case I want to watch TV. I listen to it for 30 minutes prior to watching TV and then usually I can watch a movie or news without hearing the tinnitus over TV.

Another proof that it does something to my tinnitus is that I managed to guess which was a therapeutic file and which was placebo. I was almost sure which one is real therapy since the placebo file did nothing to my tinnitus.

For those who haven’t tried it, I recommend to give it a try; it costs nothing and can help a bit.

Is this treatment still available and what was the result of the study? I doubt that only sound therapy will have a long term positive effect on tinnitus.

Hmmm. Why? If sound can produce tinnitus, why can't sound eliminate it? It's not like we know any damn thing about the mechanisms that actually cause it :p

The file is made up specifically for your hearing and tinnitus, so sharing would really be useless. From what I recall they had you go through about 20 minutes of tinnitus matching and hearing testing before it generates a unique file based upon your profile.

It looks like they’re not taking any new participants, are they?

If so, what’s the status on this? Will it be available any time soon?

Give it a try and email Kate. Even if the tests are finished she may be willing to share the treatment file with you.

Have you tried to combine Lenire with Will Sedley's sounds? That came to my mind yesterday and I try as of today: 30-minute session 2 times a day, tongue clip from Lenire combined with Will Sedley sounds.

Are you planning on listening to Sedley while doing the Lenire tongue tip? If timings matter, that could be a bad idea.

I have tried that a few times yeah, not recently though.

I still use Will Sedley's sound therapy every day.

I've found it pretty helpful but I've listened to it for hundreds of hours.

Yeap, that was my idea. Supposedly the timing matters, but who knows how this Lenire s**t works, and if it works at all. Will Sedley sounds alone help me, Lenire alone seemed to have helped a bit, hence I thought maybe I can benefit from a synergistic effect? In the end it’s all attempts and errors.

If Neuromod are about to run a TENT-A3 trial that splits their therapy into (sound) + (sound + stimulation), might it be an idea to try and emulate that with a single session of Will's treatment immediately followed by a single session of bi-modal Lenire treatment?

Anyhow, whichever way you choose to go with it man, good luck.

Looks like the study started in late 2020 from what I gather. I wonder if there's any timeframe on results from the study, awaiting patiently :)

Is there any place where I can find some information regarding how this sound therapy works? I've quickly gone through the model description itself and it's pretty clear for me, but there is nothing about the algorithm of the sound generation. I am not sure if this information has been disclosed.
