This might be a very stupid question, but this is my first summer coming up with tinnitus. I loathe the heat and I won't be able to avoid doing a lot of yard work.

I never used earplugs outside in temperature over 30-35 C (85-95 F), so I don't have experience. Do ears sweat? If so, in summer does having earplugs in increase a chance to get an ear infection?

I never noticed any problems when on holiday last year in temperatures of 35 to 40 C. I wore silicon earplugs most of the time we were out.
