Okay at least I know what is causing my tinnitus.

I'm seeing a TMJ specialist in a few days.

      Now what?

A warm welcome to Tinnitus Talk.
They will make you a mouth guard to wear at night over your bottom teeth to ease pressure on your jaw joint and give you a leaflet on things to help like-
Cut food up small so less chewing,
Cut Apple's in half so don't over stretch your jaw,
No chewing gum or chewy sweets etc..
Jaw exercises to do ....lots of love glynis

Thanks Glynis at the start 6 weeks ago I was told I had ETD and was told to chew gum and now today I was told its TMJ after all the tests and I had been chewing a lot of gum in between so probably made it a bit worse

TMJ rarely causes tinnitus. Even if yours is corrected, your tinnitus can stay!
