I came across this site while trying to research something that is happening to me. I do have tinnitus, but I am not sure that it has anything to do with the current issue that is upsetting me.

I am hearing the impossible. The International Space Station regularly flies over my home. I have witnessed the fly over many times. Here's the thing that is supposedly impossible. I can hear it. I hear it before I see it in the sky. I hear it as it flies overhead, I hear it as it fades out of sight. It is the same sound every time.

I understand that we are not able to hear sounds from space, but I am telling the truth. I hear the ISS.

In my research into this, I have discovered that scientists can now hear sounds from space but only through special instruments, & that it has to do with electromagnetics. I have also had some unusual biomagnetic things happen to me.

The reason I am posting this is to try & find out if anyone else has had similar experiences & if it is connected to tinnitus in any way. Any comment are welcome, but please do not tell me that I am crazy or that I do not hear what I hear. This is upsetting to me as my logical side tells me this is impossible, but I know what I am hearing.

Actually, I am very upset about this. Until recently, it did not occur to me that I could not be hearing what I hear. Then I was reminded that we cannot hear sounds from objects in space, so now I am kinda freaked about it.
I do have tinnitus that drives me nuts, some high pitched, but mostly I hear a loud chorus of crickets in my head. It makes me want to beat my head against something.

Interesting. Long term tinnitus person here.

I have very loud noises non-stop and constant it is similar to squeaking metal and very intrusive.

The odd thing is that even with all this noise in my brain I can detect certain sounds that others do not hear. For example recently I told my husband I hear water sounds. And we had a pin hole leak in our plumbing under the house. If I hadn't said anything a lot of damage would have happened.

So you are not alone in this. Regarding the magnetic field sounds....we have a few weird places around here that have that going on. Garage door would open. Car doors could not be unlocked with the key fob. This I found out first hand. I was parked in this particular area of note. Went to a shop came back and my car door would not open with the fob thing. I had to use the key. Which I never used before to open the door.

I found out the key did not open the door but would work in the ignition. Had to go get that fixed at the dealership.

Anyways, I digressed. I did not pick up that "sound" though.

Nothing to worry about.

Thank you for your reply. I do have high sensitivities as I have Fibromyalgia. I am always asking my husband if he hears such & such a sound & he does not. It just freaks me that I am hearing a sound that is supposed to be impossible as it comes from an object in space.
I am no stranger to unusual occurances. When my Fibro is flaring, sometimes I can pass my hand over a lamp that is turned off & it will light up. Recently, I picked up a magnet that always sits on my work table & every magnetic object in a 2-4 foot radius came flying towards me.
The space station flies over again tonight, so I will go out & give it a wave when I hear it coming. But I think I will stop telling people that I hear it.

It's interesting and you should explore it further. You can track the ISS online so you could do blind experiments where you blind yourself from looking at that site, and when you "hear it", go online and check.

If that checks out multiple times in a row, you're on to something. Ask someone to help you with this to have a more objective process.

Interesting suggestion. The only problem is without checking to see when it flies over, how would know when to go outside to look for it? I own a limestone building, so I don't hear it when I am inside. Even if I could hear it inside I would not make it downstairs to the deck to see it because it travels very fast.
I like your train of thought though. I know that the only times I have heard that sound is when the ISS flies over. It is a unique sound. My husband has stood right beside me as it passes & he does not hear it. I hear it before I see it & say, "here it comes". Tonight I am going to try to figure how long in advance I hear it.

That's why you need to enroll a partner in crime. It sounds like your husband may be up to it.
Have him look online for the next 10 dates/times when the ISS is going to fly over your house. Then have him add another 10 random times and shuffle.

Then take you out on those 20 times and ask you "can you hear it now"? Then he can tally how often you are right.

It's actually best if he's blinded too so he can't influence your choice.
