      Tinnitus Since:
      December 2016
      Cause of Tinnitus:
Picking my ear on my right side.
I would like to introduce myself,
I had tinnitus since December of 2016.

What happens I was watching tv and picking my ear because I had some ear wax I wanted to take out with my finger, stupid enough of me that caused pain in my ear and really loud ringing in my ear (right side). I thought it would go away by just sleeping it off. The pain went away the next day but the ringing was still there. Went to multiple ents said my ears look cleared and said it was TMJ. I'm currently getting treatment for TMJ. I just want this to go away.

I'm a college student and hate this horrible symptom.

I would like to also add I have Etd but the all my tests like for the ears are normal so I guess its the muscles are tights.

      Does anyone have suggestions?
      Please, anything will help!

Welcome to the forum. Have you seen an ENT to check ETD? Do you feel your ET is blocked? Here is a video recommended in a success story by a member who has suffered ETD and got help by doing an exercise recommended by a doctor. Also have you tried masking your T? Take care. God bless.

loud noise and very bad sickness
No one knows 100% why, tinnitus comes about. The thing is this your tinnitus is very new and it is not sound/noise induced. Mine started with an illness, but due to my foolishness and just being a wild soul, I damaged my ears by being in loud environments.

Protect your ears and avoid loud places, if you have to be in those place....then get good ear plugs. I have poor hearing and a NASTY high pitched ringing in both ears. Don't do what I did and protect your hearing and ears :)

Hello Yuri, I have read that we can become habituated to tinnitus and that it can become much less bothersome. I hope yours goes away, and I will pray that it does. I am new at this so I don't have much to offer but hope and prayer. Tomorrow I see an audiologist about a masking device. Hope it helps.

I would try and have a few specialists from different medical areas look into that. Hope you recover well.
