Tinnitus Since
21.9
...just to introduce. I am Tim from Germany and I have T since the 21st of September. I was working outside with a loud machine (high frq) for about 40 mins and then there was a Sound on both ears :/ I used the machine some days/months ago and everything was fine.

Usually I am not used to loud sounds like clubbing or concerts but that time I guess it was to loud. I directly met a doctor and my audio Test was ok. The next day I started an Infusion therapy for about 10 days. Audio Test was ok again. The first time I could not stand any loud sounds because I think I have a little H too. Dishes and so on are really bad to listen too.... traffic is ok as I think its seems to get milder? T is now mainly on my right ear. I have also clicking sounds wenn swallowing, is that normal?

I have also quit drinking Coca Cola (up to 1 liter per day) and Coffee and Start eating fruits.

I am scared... my ENT doctor sent me to accupuncture to relax and said it is ok to "just" wait. But its a very hard time for me.

Thank you for any tips and helping guides....

Welcome. Since your tinnitus is so new and may be related to acoustic trauma, you may want to get your doctor/ENT to prescribe a course of prednisone or other corticosteroids. Members here highly recommend new T patient to get this treatment as soon as possible. Here is a discussion thread on this treatment:

If you have T and H also, then your condition is like mine a few years back. My T is ultra high pitch dog whistle, whereas my severe H turned all normal sounds piercingly hurtful. The initial struggle was tough and I was in a mess physically and emotionally. But now I live a normal and absolutely enjoyable life. I even wrote my success stories like many other members. How I turned around my struggle from darkness to light? Well it is a long story and I list many points plus some mental imagery exercises. So for brevity I provide this link to it and hopefully it will help you in some way. I also provide the link to a TT thread which has great masking sounds and tips for newbies. Take good care of yourself and God bless.
