It's 1.3oam here in Brighton, England, and I can't sleep because of a ringing sound in my left ear that began just a few days ago. I only notice this sound when I am in bed and when all is quiet around me.
The affected ear feels like it's infected and I have a feeling there maybe wax in this ear-for a long time, I have been inserting wax ear plugs in both ears to help me get to sleep and I am wondering whether some of this wax has made its way into my left ear, causing the ringing sound?
Another possibility why I have this unbearable ringing sound may be due to my recent overuse of Hydroxyzine, to help me with my social anxiety. I only discovered that this drug can cause T if taken in large quantities. This same drug can also cause arrhythmias if taken at large doses, something I discovered only recently after years of taking way over the now recommended daily dose of 10omg.
I originally went to see my doctor in 2009 to help alleviate my debilitating panic attacks. I can't help but be disappointed in the service I have received from my doctor. I feel that the 'help' he has given me has ruined my physical health. I am going to have a talk with him tomorrow and tell him how I feel and I will demand that he prescribe me Valium to help dampen this sound which I can hear clearly as I type this. I've only had this condition since Monday morning and I am at my wits end . I have total respect for those who have lived with this condition for years. The uncertainty has spiked my anxiety to a point where I am now regularly experiencing palpitations and breathlessness.
If this sound is caused by my medicine or by excess wax in my ear or by an infection, will this noise go away after the cause of this is eradicated or has lasting damage to my ear already been done? This is so scary. I've lost my trust in doctors and the way I feel right now makes me more determined to have it out with my doctor tomorrow-that is if
I can see my doctor or any other doctor. You can wait days to see a doctor here in the UK.
Also can high blood pressure cause T? I stopped taking my BP tablet a few weeks' back after taking daily since 2009.
It's now 2.15am and the ringing is still there. I feel so lonely at the moment and fear for my future. I can't live with this noise indefinitely. Good luck everyone .
