      Hey all!
A friend recommend this forum and the newsletter.

My name is Dave I'm 35, married and woke up one day with a ringing in my ear, and it's been there for roughly 14 weeks now due to Ramsay Hunt Syndrome. What happened was, I had shingles but unfortunately my Doctor didn't catch it for almost 2 weeks (no fault of the Dr. I didn't have any sores or rashes or any of the typical external symptoms for Shingles). Thankfully a brain MRI revealed that it was in fact Shingles.

I had experienced some hearing loss, but after a few trips to an ENT and an rx or two, the hearing came back to normal.

The only thing that remains is that constant high pitch ringing. I'm trying to curb it with noise replacement and things like that. Through that, some meditation/breathing exercises and the most patient wife in the world, I'm having more good days than bad days the past few weeks.

Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself!

I've enjoyed a lot of the threads and resources mentioned here already so I look forward to more reading and talking!

      Have a nice day!
      -Dave
