This is funny. I used to get people telling me they thought I was scary and direct going by my writing. I thought I was quite British and polite tbh. Try to be extra polite now.

I was talking to one of my cousins about this a few weeks back. She said when people reply "ok" to her messages she interprets it as them being annoyed with her because of the bluntness of it. She mentioned a few other things in text form that she thought was hard to interpret and I remember thinking how magnifying that effect is whilst posting here. Especially when this is dealing with people you know whereas here we don't even have that to our advantage.
