Mine has been with me since my "oughts" just now found a UTube frequency thing. Mine's above 15,000Hz. I'm 65 y.o. It's been so long that I only notice it when I notice it. Nothing has worked. I can make it stronger by clenching my jaw a certain way so I don't do that any more.

If it is jaw related, it may be TMJ.

If it's jaw related it happened before I was born. I've had it for over 60 years. Fortunately my night terrors as a kid haven't continued. Though I can enhance(modify the intensity by adjusting my jaws) I'm pretty sure it's congenital. The pitch changes periodically, with no warning. I'm one of the lucky ones.

It's present. I know what it feels/sounds like as I can feel/hear it even during a noisy scene. As a child it was a ringing mostly. I liken it to the weather, light of day, darkness of night. Not focusing on it is my way of ignoring it. When things are quiet, reletively speaking, I never really hear quiet. Other than what I've said here today. I haven't thought about how I got over things since becoming aware of it in my "oughts."
