I typically have background noise playing in my house at all times to help drown out my tinnitus, or at least make it easier to ignore. This morning when I woke up, the recording had ended. I didn't even notice that it wasn't playing until I went to the bathroom and returned to my bedroom. Then I noticed it.. SILENCE!! Complete silence, with no ringing of any kind and no background noise. It was actually a bit odd since I've grown used to playing the background sounds at all time.. it sounded so.. quiet!

Unfortunately it didn't last super long, perhaps a few minutes, but it was still so wonderful to know that it's still possible. Usually mornings are when it's most quiet.. I just wish I knew how to make it last longer!

Your T is only 4 months old. This is such a good news.

I don't wanna bring bad news but some people on this forum say that if your tinnitus is gone, it means that the neurons in your brain are dead.... who agrees with this? I am not in favor of this theory...

I must say, I'm in total favor. I'd gladly sacrifice a few neurons :)

Yeah if that was all it took! What's a few more right?

The silence was short lived so I guess I still have my brain cells though.. vacuumed my apt the other day and they definitely still work..

After 1 month I've had two times where I didn't notice the T for a short while. I don't know if it wasn't there or I didn't notice it. If I can find some peace for even a few minutes that's a very valuable first step in improving my condition and I'll take it. Congrats!
